BLS CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers (Original & Renewal) Offered Monthly*
Based on the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC. This class is taught in a practice-while-watching format and presents demonstrations of emergency cardiovascular care procedures for adults, children and infants, including:
- One- and two-rescuer CPR
- Delivery of high-quality chest compressions and appropriate ventilation
- Early AED use
- Relief of choking
Cost: $90.00/person. Approximate class time: 3-4 hours.

Heartsaver CPR/AED & First Aid (Original) Offered Monthly*
This instructor-led, classroom-based course teaches critical skills and knowledge needed to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. The manual is based on the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC. The workbook includes:
- First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, and calling for help)
- Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, and shock)
- Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, and burns)
- Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies)
Cost: $100.00/person. Approximate class time: 4-6 hours.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Offered Quarterly*
This instructor-led, classroom- and video-based course is an essential resource for training physicians, nurses, and emergency medical care providers in PALS. Based on the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC.
We will use a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes. The manual includes:
- Pediatric emergencies
- Concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment
- BLS
- PALS treatment algorithms
- Effective resuscitation
- Team dynamics
This continuing education activity is approved by the American Heart Association.
Cost: $250 for original (approximate class time: 16 hours), or $215 for refresher (approximate class time: 8 hours).
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Offered Quarterly*
This essential training for physicians, nurses, and emergency medical care providers is based on the 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECC.
The instructor-led, classroom- and video-based course builds on the foundation of lifesaving skills from the BLS for Healthcare Providers course. Skills are taught in large-group sessions and small-group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. The manual includes:
- The importance of continuous, high-quality CPR
- Team dynamics and communication
- Systems of care
- Immediate post-cardiac arrest care
- Airway management
- Related pharmacology
This continuing education activity is approved by the American Heart Association.
Cost: $250 for original (approximate class time: 16 hours), or $215 for refresher (approximate class time: 8 hours).

Heartsaver CPR/AED for the General Public
This instructor-led, classroom-based Heartsaver CPR/AED course teaches the general public how to perform adult CPR and how to use an AED. The manual is based on the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC. The workbook includes:
- Adult CPR AED
- Adult choking relief
- Child CPR AED (optional module)
- Infant CPR (optional module)
- Child and infant choking relief (optional module)
Cost: $65/person; includes the AHA workbook (provided in class). Approximate class time: 3-4 hours.
Heartsaver First Aid
