Everyday Heroes

October 28 is National First Responders Day. BVA is proud of our town’s dedicated first responders: BVA, BPD, BFD, and our partners at the 911 Center. First responders answer the call to help Brighton neighbors and visitors every day, at every hour of the day.

First responders dedicate themselves to helping others in an emergency. They step up in a crisis. When many people shy away from a difficult or uncomfortable emergency situation, first responders walk in and face it. They use their training and experience to do what needs to be done.

A first responder’s job is often difficult, stressful, and unfortunately sometimes unappreciated. BVA thanks all first responders today and every day. When you see a 911 dispatcher, police officer, firefighter, EMT or Paramedic, take a moment to thank them for the job they do. They don’t do their job for the thanks, but they will appreciate your recognition.
