BVA mourns the passing of Tom Parello who died on November 29, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. Tom was a BVA Founding Member, BVA Honorary Member, and BVA Lifetime Member. 

Tom was a lifelong resident of Brighton. He graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School, attended the U of R and received a B.A. degree from St. John Fisher College. During his 20+ years of volunteer service with BVA, Tom served as President of the Board of Directors for many years, Director of Operations, Director of Training, EMT Trainer and Driver Trainer. In 1983, he helped form one of BVA’s first Membership Committees. He will be remembered for his steadfast commitment to providing quality emergency medical services to the Town of Brighton, his sense of humor, and the twinkle in his eye when he shared a joke.

A remembrance service was held on December 17, 2016 in the chapel at McQuaid Jesuit High School.
