What If It Happens To You?

When you plan your day, do you add “call for an ambulance” to your list of things to do? Probably not. A comment that we often hear from our patients or their family members is, “I can’t believe this is happening”.

If you’ve ever called 911 for an emergency, you know how terrifying it can be. Minutes seem like hours. Despite the helpful instructions and assurance given by the 911 Dispatchers, you feel indescribable relief when you hear sirens and know that help is on the way.

Take a moment to read Marty O’Neill’s story. On an beautiful summer day he walked into the CharBroil Restaurant planning to have breakfast with friends, but he never made it inside. With the immediate help of CPR-trained bystanders and Brighton emergency first responders, Marty is here today…a survivor of a massive heart attack.

We hope you never have a medical emergency. But if you do, we’ve got your back. Please make a donation to BVA so we can continue to help you, your family, and your neighbors.
